Accommodation

Where to Stay?

You will need to arrange your own accommodation for the nights of 6, 7 and 8 December. You may also want to stay in Auckland on Sunday night after Power Shift.

Auckland University, where Power Shift is being held, is in central Auckland, so staying somewhere central would of course be ideal. But if you choose to stay elsewhere, the university is still connected via public transport.

Food!

We’ve all got to eat…

But trying to coordinate meals for 1000 people would push up organising costs and mean our volunteer crew would spend more time focusing on feeding us than on their core job -  creating an empowering three days of speakers, workshops and action.

So we’re asking you to sort your own grub.

You’ll need to:

  • Eat breakfast before and dinner after Power Shift each day.
  • Bring a packed lunch and any snacks you want for during the day OR some cash to buy something close by on our lunch break.

So, go grocery shopping, enjoy some communal dinners at the hostel or make your host your world famous spaghetti to say thanks for the free sofa…or get lazy and go out.
